Introducing 588 Forged RTG

Readers,

Over the last year many of you have been asking for the 588 Forged to become available in the always popular RTG finish.  Well, now it is!  The 588 Forged RTG will hit stores on September 21st but is available for pre-book now.

For those who don’t know, RTG stands for Raw Tour Grind.  The RTG features a dynamic sole for maximum versatility around the green. This wedge maintains the legendary, tour-proven shape of 588 with incredible Precision Forged feel.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS:

Dynamic Sole Grind
Material reduction on the back of the sole allows players to open the face with a lower leading edge for better contact on open-faced shots. Oil Quench finish will rust over time.

Original, Tour-Proven 588 Shape
The most successful and preferred wedge shape ever, revered by golfers of all skill levels for its confidence-inspiring look, versatile design and all-around performance.

Precision Forged from 1025 Carbon Steel
Every wedge offers incredibly soft, yet solid feel. Premium manufacturing ensures highest level of part-to-part consistency for supreme confidence over every wedge shot.

Advanced Spin Technology
Tour Zip Grooves and Laser Milled Technology increase spin in accordance with USGA regulations.

You can pre-book your wedge here. What do you think of the new 588 Forged RTG?

Soooooo….just picked up my 4th set of Cleveland wedges, CG15′s. Have refined my choices over the years and for various reasons, now carry a 46.8 Satin Chrome (couldn’t find the RTG model), RTG dsg 52 and 56. Was admiring the new 588′s but really wanted all 3 to be RTG’s. Now, 4 weeks after delivery of the CG15′s……..there are the awesome new 588 RTG’s. Am willing to upgrade yet again, but would love to have the 46 or 48 degree in the same model, any plans to build the pitching wedges in the new RTG format.
